Graduate Fashion Week 2011

L’Oréal Professionnel continued its support of Graduate Fashion Week for the seventh year running, as official hair sponsor, alongside title sponsors Georges for the 2011 event at Earls Court 2 London, from June 5 - 8.

The L’Oréal Professionnel Portfolio session team was made up of 30 plus young hair stylists worked tirelessly backstage to create the Working at Graduate Fashion Week is a huge inspiration for the young stylists who represent L’Oréal Professionnel.  They are exposed to opportunities which will help them progress in their hairdressing career and challenge their creativity outside the salon, having the freedom to create many different hairstyles in one week. 

The hair team was directed by Claire Morley (Contemporary, Guisborough) a rising star in the hairdressing Industry. Claire has extensive experience working on hair teams at London Fashion Week, hair shoots and heading up her own team for the Golden Shears Tailoring Awards

Steve Chapman (Contemporary, Harrogate) assisted in his first session styling show and is keen to experience more shows and shoots.

Caryn Franklyn & Jeff Banks CBE hosted the Awards at the Gala Show, and presenters included designers Eley Kishimoto, Karen Millen, Amanda Wakeley, Barbara Hulinicki (BIBA), Emma Hill (Mulberry), Hilary Alexander (The Telegraph), Lucy Yeomans (Harpers Bazaar), Sophie Ellis Baxter and Laura Bailey.
